Low Loss High Gain Antenna a Must with Engenius

Engenius Telephones are an awesome product if you follow some simple rules and suggestions from Engenius and their authorized dealers. Some consumers of Engenius phones however, have purchased Engenius phones online from unauthorized dealers and are consequently having trouble with reception due to improper installation. The main cause for loss of reception is the improper installation of Engenius telephones. High gain antennas (by Engenius) and proper coaxial cable (low loss/high gain) are needed to ensure maximal range which with the DuraFon1X Long Range Cordless Phone System can reach up to 250,000 square feet and 12 floors in-building penetration and up to 3,000 acres. In addition to the Engenius high gain antenna it is absolutely necessary to purchase the proper Engenius low loss cable. With proper installation of the Engenius cable and antenna that allows for getting around walls and obtaining signals from one room to another as well as appropriate positioning of the high gain antennas, you will get excellent reception to your Engenius phone. On the flip side, however, overuse of cables can often cause more harm than good. Maximizing the range of your Engenius phone can be accomplished with 100 feet of coaxial cable or less as you can actually experience reception loss between 100-150 feet of low loss cable. Anything over 150 feet. of antenna cable will require a separate line amplifier to ensure and increase signal strength. Engenius Technologies recommends that consumers use only authorized Engenius dealers who offer Engenius product warranties and installation. The reason for this is obvious. As an expert in Engenius products, installation and warranties, we'll guarantee that your phone system will work properly if installed correctly and that you will possess the appropriate Engenius product warranties to protect you against loss of any kind. It may cost a few more dollars to purchase the recommended equipment and accessories to support your Engenius Phones, but in the long run you'll get the most out of the product you purchase. Help for Engenius Customers

Have you purchased a DuraFon 1X with expectations of long-range and excellent clarity only to be disappointed. You are probably not alone. I find it disturbing how many web sites offer the Engenius products and their representatives have no Engenius training. I called four sites last week and did not find one representative that actually installed one or even used one. No wonder there are so many people that are disappointed with their Engenius.

The Engenius telephone is an expensive telephone. Do get discouraged if it does not work as expected. I can help.

It is also the only cordless telephone WHEN INSTALLED PROPERLY will work over great distances. Since 2005, I have successfully installed the Engenius DuraFon 1X in over 1,000 self storage facilities across the country. If you are not familiar with self storage, these facilities consist of multiple metal buildings ranging from 1 to 9 stories and sometimes spread over ¼ - ½ mile. I have learned many tricks of the trade. I offer my expertise to our customers via www.selfstoragephones.com and through this blog. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of us that know this product really well. Most electricians, telephone vendors and access control technicians pick up the Engenius product line for rare installations. I have made Engenius an exclusive part of our business model since 2004.

If the Engenius DuraFon 1X is not what you thought it would be….maybe I can help.
